What are Car Auctions?
You can buy used cars that are practically new. Some vehicles still have the manufacturer's
warranty. If you know what you are looking for you can find real value for money.
However, a lot of our dismantlers use auctions to buy vehicles that have been in
an accident and no longer wanted, as the owners don't wish to pay to have the vehicles
fixed. These buys are what the UK breakers yards are looking for. If a vehicle purchased
from an auction has been damaged at the rear yet all the front end parts are in
saleable order then the vehicles are bought and salvaged for the parts that have
great value to the motorist looking for a quality used spare.
Example Charges made by Car Auction Salvage Houses.

If a vehicle is under 8 years old then a reserve price can be put on the vehicle.
When buying a vehicle there can also be a buyer's premium placed as follows:
Under £10,000 - £262
Over £10,000 - £266
