Ignition coil failure
Problem:
If the ignition coil fails it will lead to misfiring and poor engine idling. Faulty ignition coils are the most common cause of this problem on the S-Type.
Solution:

Central locking problem
Problem:
If you are finding that some of the doors are not locking/unlocking when using the central locking, it is usually due to a problem with the door lock itself.
Solution:
You will need to replace the faulty door lock to resolve the issue.

Water pump failure
Problem:
If you are finding that the heater is not working on all the settings and the temperature gauge is slightly high, this is caused by a fault with the water pump.
Solution:
You will need to replace the water pump to fix the problem.

Engine management warning light
Problem:
Has the engine management warning light appeared on the dashboard? If so, the most likely cause is a faulty lambda sensor. You might also be noticing increased fuel consumption.
Solution:
Run a diagnostic check to make sure this is the issue. You need to fit a replacement lambda sensor to fix the problem. We can help you find one at a very low price.

Problem:
Are you having problems with the folding door mirrors sticking when you press the button on the centre console? They are also known for making a screeching noise when folding away.
Solution:
