Rover Streetwise Common Problems and Solutions
Electric window issues
Problem:
There are a couple of known issues with the electric windows failing on the Streetwise. The windows are known to stick, making the movement up and down very hesitant. This is due to an issue with the rubber seals. There is also a known issue with the window falling and not being able to put it back up again. This is caused by a broken plastic clip on the window regulator.
Solution:
For the window hesitancy issue, you need to lubricate the rubber seals with something like WD40. For the window falling and not rising issue, you need to replace the broken plastic clip on the window regulator.

Clock fading
Problem:
If you are noticing that the clock on the dashboard is very difficult to read, this is a known issue on this car. The clock fades pretty quickly on the Streetwise.
Solution:
You need to replace the clock to fix the problem.

Poor starting/bad idling
Problem:
The ignition coil pack is prone to failure on the Streetwise. If you are having difficulty starting the car and/or you are finding that it is misfiring (having poor idling) then the coil pack is the most likely cause of this. You will be having a very irregular idle instead of constant revs.
Solution:

Difficulty level
Drivers door lock failure
Problem:
There are known issues with the drivers door lock not working as it should. There has also been reports of some of the other door locks not working, but this problem is mainly with the drivers door. Symptoms of this failure include: the lock not locking/unlocking, lock/unlocking the car from the door in question so the central locking does not operate.
Solution:
You need to replace the drivers door lock to sort this problem. We can help you find a replacement lock at a very low price.
