The window wiper motor and linkage are part of the mechanism used to remove rain or debris from the windscreen of the vehicle. The wiper motor is located under the bonnet of the vehicle and powers the window wipers. The driver can usually choose from about 3 different speeds for the window wipers motor to work at. Most wipers are now powered by an electric motor, which is connected to the wiper linkage that provides the power to rotate and move the arms of the wiper to remove the excess water or debris from the surface of the windscreen. A Wiper Linkage is a short cam that is attached to the output shaft of the gear reduction. This cam spins around as the wiper motor turns. These are in turn connected to the individual arms (one on the passenger side and one on the driver side) which have the rubber blades on, and move at the designated speed.
