What are Wing Mirrors?
A wing mirror refers to the small mirrors on either side of the vehicle, which allows the driver to see behind him and to the side. In older cars the mirrors were situated on the wings of the vehicle, but most modern vehicles have the mirrors situated on the side doors which would mean a more appropriate name of 'door mirrors', which obviously has not caught on yet. Most wing mirrors can now be adjusted automatically from a controller within the vehicle, but some have to be adjusted manually. The adjustment allows for all different sizes of persons and allows the driver to adjust the mirrors to suit himself. The actual mirrors themselves are situated within a plastic or metal case, which allows them to be adjusted and in the emergency of them breaking, then just the mirror can be replaced without replacing the wing mirror casing.
