What guarantees do they offer?
All suppliers offer a minimum guarantee on all car parts supplied. When receiving
quotes from a breakeryard.com supplier you can compare individual guarantees as
well as prices. Many offer 60 days and some parts come with 90 days, 120 days or
even more.
How quickly can I expect to start to receive quotes?
If you select the part from the parts list on the part finder you may receive instant
prices on screen, however once the breakers have checked their stock you will usually
receive quotes within 5 minutes direct to your email account or mobile phone. You
can also login your members area to view prices online. Some of the breakeryard.com
suppliers may phone you directly.
Am I obliged to purchase if I make a request?
No, absolutely not. You're under no obligation whatsoever. Once you make a request,
our car breakers send you a quote for you to consider. You need not phone any of
them or purchase any parts at all but we hope our members will provide you with
the best possible quotes available so if you need quality used vehicle spares, breakeryard.com
members will be your first point of call.
How do I know I can trust the Dismantler if I decide to order my parts?
Breakeryard.com checks out all new members of the service and constantly monitors
their performance. All members must agree to abide by our Code of Conduct and offer
genuine guarantees. Text Quotes are the most secure as they can only be sent by
approved breakeryard.com members.
Why do I need to enter my mobile number?
As all our members are linked via computer, they are now able "Text" no obligation
quotes to customers. This ensures the fastest possible response and means you do
not need to take 3, 4 or even 5 calls from various members, all quoting for the

What happens if a part supplied is faulty?
Simply contact the supplying member direct to inform them your part is faulty. The
member will usually ask you to return the faulty part and either dispatch a replacement
or if they do not have one available, they will arrange for an immediate refund.

through the resolution centre with the supplier if you are not satisfied with their
service.
What do I do if a breakeryard.com member refuses to replace a part or refund me?
In the unlikely event a member refuses to sort out a problem, our customer services
department (**0905 232 3000) want to hear
from you. Once they have all the details of the problem, they will contact the member
concerned and can usually arrange for a replacement part or refund on your behalf.

the resolution centre directly with the supplier if you are not satisfied with their
service.
How quickly are parts delivered?
Usually the next day, depending on the time you made your request and the day of
the week. For example, if a request is made at 4.30pm, it is unlikely that the parts
can be dispatched the same day or if the request was made on a Friday, most couriers
will be unable to deliver before Monday, unless a special surcharge has been agreed.
The general rule is order before 3pm for next day delivery. Please note that engines
and gearboxes may take longer due to dismantling labour.
Can I telephone my request?
Yes. If you would prefer to speak to one of our trained operators, simply call **0905 232 3000

Is there a charge for the service?
If you elect to receive email quotes, then the answer is NO, the service is completely
free of charge. When compared to the convenience and the savings obtained by being
able to compare quotes, text messaging is by far the fastest and most popular method
chosen by Breakeryard.com users. If you opt for the convenience of having quotes
text direct to your mobile, the first 3 texts are charged at £1.50 each, followed
by any further text quotes free of charge. When you offset this against the savings
achieved when comparing the quotes themselves, you may find you will have saved
anything between £10 to £1000 simply because of the difference in the prices!
How much will it cost to contact the suppliers?
At Breakeryard.com we make no money from the sales of used parts so therefore we
offer a chargeable information service should you wish to use the valuable information
we supply. When you call a supplier on a 0701 number, the call rate is 50p per minute.
Will my mobile number be used by other companies?
No. Under no circumstances will breakeryard.com sell or give permission to any third
party company to use your mobile number. We take our money saving service and customer
satisfaction very seriously.
What savings can I expect to make if I use Recycled spares instead of new ones?
Obviously it's impossible to accurately give a true percentage figure but you should
expect to save between 45% to 85% off the cost of new dealership parts.
What success rate does breakeryard.com have in finding spares?
Again it's impossible to accurately state just how many times we successfully find
spares for customers but indications are that it’s as often as 85% to 95% of the
time.
What if you do not find my spares first time?
Obviously with the nature of used spares, it would be impossible for every member
to have every spare for every model of vehicle ever made, however with a network
of approx.100 Dismantlers, we usually expect 4, 5 or 6 to have one. It is of course
possible from time to time that no one will have a particular part but as all members
are receiving new stock daily, you can simply re-enter your request a day or two
later and often your parts will have become available. Due to the industry we are
in, what is here today can be gone tomorrow, and back again the following day so
it is always worth entering or re-submitting a request for the suppliers.
How many requests can I make?
As many as you like. Obviously if you are a private motorist, you will only need
to make the occasional request for spares but if you are a trade repairer, you can
use breakeryard.com to locate them as often as you wish.
