Water leaking into boot
Problem:
If you have found that there is water leaking into the boot, it is caused by a leak in the rear window seal.
Solution:
You can remove the seal and fit a replacement seal to stop the leak. If the boot carpets are wet you will need to dry them out to stop any dampness setting in.

Gearbox oil leak
Problem:
The gearbox coolant pipe is known to break on this car. The coolant pipe is located at the top left hand side of the radiator and fits underneath the radiator. This pipe corrodes underneath the radiator and if it gets corroded badly, it will leak gearbox oil onto the ground.
Solution:
You will need to put a pan underneath the old pipe when you remove it to catch any fluids. Fitting a replacement gearbox coolant pipe and topping up the gearbox oil will resolve the issue.

Heater problems
Problem:
The heater blower motor is prone to breaking on the 190 Series. If you are finding that the heater is not blowing out any air on any or some of the settings, it is due to an issue with the heater blower motor.
Solution:
You can remove the heater blower motor and lubricate both the bearings with 3in1 oil, and this should sort the problem. Otherwise you will need to fit a replacement heater blower motor to fix your heating. We can help you find a replacement one at very low prices.
