Euro Car Parts acquires new Ipswich facility |

Euro Car Parts has acquired a 12,500 sq ft business unit on a 15-year lease at the Ipswich facility of Huntingdon business park builder, Artisan UK.It is another successful let for Artisan following the arrival of Toolstation and Safestore Self Storage in recent months.Claiming to be the UK’s largest independent supplier of parts, tools and garage equipment for all makes of cars and light commercial vehicles, Euro Car Parts supplies independent garages, holding in excess of 110,000 stock lines.The company now has over 65 branches across the UK, employing more than 1800 people nationwide.The Ipswich unit boasts a capacity for over 20,000 product lines, as well as a fully stocked retail shop catering for all the needs of motorists and garages.Euro Car Parts has four other branches throughout East Anglia, with this new Ipswich branch being the latest addition to its growing portfolio.Quantum is a new 3.72-acre mixed-use business park within the White House Road Industrial area of Ipswich, comprising of a variety of purpose-built business units and warehouse facilities, and forthcoming high-spec office premises.The new branch in Ipswich is part of Toolstation’s dynamic expansion plans, as the company looks to increase its number of outlets nationwide by opening at least three new trade counters each month. Safestore, the largest self-storage company in the UK, recently moved into a bespoke 20,000 sq ft public storage centre specific to Safestore’s unique needs and requirements, which it plans to open to the public in September 2009.Michael Eyres, managing director for Artisan, said: it was always our intention to provide Ipswich with a dynamic business park location that would attract notable retailers to the town. |
