A Japanese car parts creates Jobs

Toyoda Gosei, a resin and rubber parts maker in the Toyota group of companies, is expected to invest in the former Valeo plant in Gorseinon, Swansea. It is understood talks have been under way for about 18 months, although details have been leaked prematurely. It comes a week after it was announced that 900 jobs are to go at the Bosch car parts plant, Vale of Glamorgan. The French-owned Valeo plant in Gorseinon made car parts and closed in 2001 with the loss of 330 jobs. It made air conditioning units for the automotive industry. The property was occupied by Amazon in 2007/08 for a year while they built the distribution centre at Fabian Way.
