Talks over Vauxhall jobs are constructive

TALKS with the new owners of car giant Vauxhall were described as "constructive" by unions fighting to secure thousands of jobs in the UK. Officials from Unite met Canadian car parts firm Magna and UK government officials in London yesterday in an effort to win assurances about the future of the Vauxhall factories in Luton and Ellesmere Port in Cheshire.
