What is a Wheel Hub?
The wheel hub, is the mounting system on which the vehicles wheels are mounted upon, in order to connect the wheels to the vehicle. The wheel hubs are situated on top of the brake discs and are connected onto an axle spindle. The hub has a hub flange and threaded fasteners to assemble the wheels onto and connect them tightly to the axle spindle. Ensuring the wheels are firmly connected to the wheel hub, allows for greater safety and movement of the entire vehicle and allowing for the rotation of the wheels. The axle spindle helps support the weight if the wheels.
