About Panel Front

The 3 Series BMW front panel is a pressed steel or plastic car body part that makes up the front face of the vehicle. It's designed to be specific to the make and model of your vehicle.

This rigid piece connects the two front wings. The 3 Series BMW front panel is bolted to the front of the chassis and to the left and right wings. Forming an integral part of the car body, the 3 Series BMW front panel functions to protect the vehicle, passengers and driver inside the car, forming part of the car body.

The front panel usually houses the radiator grille, sometimes headlights and indicators and the engine bonnet lock. The car badge is often displayed on the front panel of the vehicle.

The usual reason for replacement of this part is frontal crash damage.

BMW 3 Series trivia

  • The E46 3 Series is the best selling BMW in the world. There has been an impressive 3,266,885 sales of the E46, an incredibly high number for what is, ultimately, a luxury car.
  • Due to the growing demand for cars that would be able to drive better on slippery, icy roads, BMW launched the BMW 325iX. It was the first 3 Series (and the first BMW) to come with all-wheel-drive.
  • Sales figures for the 3 Series went through the roof in the 1980s, thanks to the rise of Yuppies. Although BMW made a lot of sales, ultimately, the association harmed the BMW brand for a few years until the association with Yuppies started to fade
  • The 3 Series Touring wasn’t a planned production model. It was actually designed by a BMW engineer called Max Reisbock, who used his spare time to convert a damaged 323i so that it was more suitable for his family. When his bosses saw the result, they made a few tweaks and then built a factory version.
  • A 2015 BMW M3 was used in the Tom Cruise film Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, in a scene where the car ends up being completely destroyed but still keeps its occupants safe.
