About Door

Jazz Honda car doors are used by the driver and passengers, sitting in the front or back seats, to enter and exit the car.
A standard car door usually opens outwards and is normally mounted to the frame of the car with hinges which are fixed to the car with either bolts or pins. Jazz Honda car doors are fitted with a section of glass, which makes up the car window.

Most manufacturers of modern cars favour aluminium for parts such as car doors, because it is strong, durable and rustproof while being lightweight. Car doors can also be made of steel and strong plastics. The interior of a car door, referred to as the car door card, will usually consist of a strong plastic cover lined with various materials such as leather or vinyl to compliment the rest of the interior design.  In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, the car door card houses controls for electric windows and the locking mechanism.

Whether the Jazz Honda door has been damaged, not working properly, needs replacing due to general wear and tear, or you’re simply renovating your car, it’s important when replacing any door to make sure you purchase a door that is compatible with the make, model, and year of your car.

Honda Jazz trivia

  • The boot in a Honda Jazz ES Plus trim has a false floor so that owners have two levels of storage space.
  • It used to be that all Honda Jazz cars were made in Japan, but in 2009 Honda moved production to the UK. The Swindon plant now supplies the Honda Jazz to all of Europe.
  • The boot volume of a Honda Jazz when the seats are in the upright position is 354-litres. Put those seats down, and you suddenly have 897-litres. That's not bad going for a car that's just under four metres long and only 1.69 metres wide.
  • A surprise facelift alongside the launch of the Hybrid version of the Honda Jazz saw some surprising improvements. The aerodynamics had been dramatically improved, and the result was 0.330cd. Emissions also lowered by two grams to 123g/km.
  • Not only is the Honda Jazz the best-selling Honda model in the world, but it also makes up a whopping 30% of all European Honda sales.
