About Alternative ECU Fuels
There are over 1 billion vehicles in the world that use an alternative fuel. These fuels are defined as any fuel that you can use in place of petrol, oil or diesel, for example electricity. The Jaguar alternative ECU fuel is a computerised control unit. It’s the job of the Jaguar alternative ECU fuel to ensure that the alternative fuel engine is operating correctly. It does this by monitoring the functions of the engine and other vehicle components to make sure that the correct amount of fuel is distributed to perform their tasks.
The control unit also performs various tests on the vehicles sensors to make sure that they are operating correctly. If the Jaguar alternative ECU fuel finds an error, it will store the data so that it can be referred back to and rectified by the vehicle owner or a reputable mechanic.
A failing ECU can manifest with various symptoms, the most serious of which would be the vehicle failing to start. Drops in fuel efficiency, vehicle jerking, transmission problems or issues in changing gears can also be put down to a faulty ECU as it controls a large amount of processes in the vehicle.

- The 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the most gruelling and famous race events in the world, has been won by Jaguar an astonishing seven times. Their first victory was back in 1951.
- Steve McQueen was a huge fan of the Jaguar XKSS and even found himself with two driving bans because of his passion for driving fast. He was one of the few people to ever drive an XKSS because only 16 were ever made! McQueen did eventually sell his car, but regretted it immediately and paid more to get it back. The car is now owned by US TV host Jay Leno.
- Talk about testing your car! Jaguars are put through a very rigorous climate test, where they are first tested in -40 degrees for twelve hours. Once that's done, the cars are then sprayed with water while standing in a 0-degree wind tunnel. That's why they cope so well with British weather.
- Jaguar was bought out by Ford in 1990, but they didn't really capitalise on the investment. Eventually, Ford sold Jaguar to the current owners, the Indian company Tata Motors.
- The first-ever XK120 rolled off the production line and was delivered immediately to Clark Gable, who had preordered it well in advance. The XK120 came with a removable windscreen and could hit a solid 120mph..
