Kia Cee'd Common Problems and Solutions
Engine problems
Problem:
If you have been having problems with the engine on your Kia Ceed, then it is most likely due to a software issue. The ECU needs re-mapped which should resolve the problem.
Solution:
As mentioned above, you need to have the ECU re-mapped. You will need to take the car into a dealer to have this done.

Starting problems
Problem:
The immobiliser is prone to failing on this car. If this part fails it leads to starting problems, where the car will not start at all.
Solution:
In most cases you can remove the immobiliser and clean the contacts to sort the issue. If this does not work, you will need to fit a replacement immobiliser.

Turbo failure
Problem:
The turbo on the Ceed is known for failing. Some common symptoms of a failing turbo are: blue/black smoke coming from the exhaust, whistling noise from the top of the engine and/or a loss of power. Have a look at the video below:
Solution:
You will need to replace the turbo to fix the problem. It is recommended that you replace the EGR valve at the same time as you replace the turbo. We can help you find a replacement turbo and EGR valve at very low prices.

Air conditioning problems
Problem:
If the air conditioning is not blowing out ice cold air on the coldest setting, then it is most likely caused by a fault with the condenser. It is located in front of the radiator and can get damaged by stones and debris.
Solution:
