Hard to Steer (Early Models)
Problem:
It is becoming much more difficult to steer.
Solution:
Some early hatchback models of the Cee'd had faulty steering racks, which will be causing your steering issues. Try realigning the steering rack, which may fix the problem. Unfortunately, you will need to order a replacement steering rack from us in most cases and replace the faulty one.

Multiple Attempts to Start Car
Problem:
Especially on cold mornings, the engine doesn't want to turn over. It can take multiple attempts to start the car.
Solution:
Check your glow plugs, which may need replacing. If your Cee'd isn't starting the first time, then it's a sign that one of your glow plugs is faulty. We always have glow plugs in stock for the Cee'd, so you can order yours today and easily replace the worn ones.

Shaky Steering Wheel
Problem:
The steering wheel shakes excessively while driving.
Solution:
This is very common on the Cee'd and is being caused by the quick wear on your brake pads and discs. You can order replacements from our store and replace the worn ones very easily.

Remote Central Locking Doesn't Work
Problem:
You can't lock or unlock the car using the remote key fob.
Solution:
Start by changing the battery in the key fob. This won't always fix the issue. If it doesn't, then you have a sticking ignition key warning switch, which is located inside the ignition itself. You'll need to remove the steering column and reset the ignition system manually while remembering to lubricate the ignition switch barrel.
