Mazda Demio Common Problems and Solutions
Poor fuel economy/engine management warning light
The lambda sensor is known for failing on this vehicle. If you are finding that you are having poor fuel economy and the engine management warning light has appeared on the dashboard, this is the most likely the cause.
You will need to fit a replacement lambda sensor to fix the problem. We can help you find a replacement sensor at a very low price.
Airbag warning light
If the airbag warning light has appeared on the dashboard, it is usually caused by an issue with the clock spring. The clock spring is located behind the steering wheel, and if this par fails, it can cause the airbag warning light to appear on the dashboard. If the clock spring fails it could also affect the horn.
Fitting a replacement clock spring should resolve the issue. Watch the video below for an idea on how to do this:
Are you having problems with the engine misfiring and/or the car having a real lack of acceleration? If you are, the coil pack is prone to failure on the Demio. There has also been reports of the spark plug leads failing on this vehicle. It could be either of these two causing the problem.
You would be best to test the coil pack first, and if this is faulty you will need to fit a replacement coil pack to fix the problem. If this is not the issue, then you will need to replace the spark plug leads to get the vehicle working fully again. We can help you find replacement coil packs, or spark plug leads at very low prices.
