About Washer Jetss

Mercedes-Benz washer jets are used on the front and rear windscreen of vehicles. There are two Mercedes-Benz washer jets to each windscreen and are positioned in the outermost corners of the windscreen with one on the driverside of the vehicle and the other on the passenger side. They are small metal nozzles with black rubberised protective covers that help prevent them from corrosion. The Mercedes-Benz washer jets are attached to motorised pumps. These pumps force water or washer fluid from the water reservoir bottle out through the nozzle of the Mercedes-Benz washer jets and on to the windshield for the windscreen wiper to use when washing the windscreen.

Problems with Mercedes-Benz washer jets can arise from blocked nozzles. This could be down to dirt and debris or in very cold weather, the tip of the nozzles can be frozen. If a Mercedes-Benz washer jet is not spraying water on the windscreen you should first check the water reservoir bottle as this may be empty. If it has water or fluid in it, you should check for blockages. Other issues can arise from a faulty washer pump or tubing which transports fluid to the jets.

Mercedes-Benz trivia

  • The Popemobile is a Mercedes Benz M-Class SUV. It's not a standard model, however, and has some added features like an inbuilt oxygen system and bulletproof glass.
  • Ever noticed that you've never heard a Mercedes rattle or make any kind of squealing sound? You never will either, because all of their vehicles are welded in up to 10,000 places! You're not going to find a loose nut or bolt rolling around.
  • Karl Benz might have patented the design of his Motorwagen in 1886, but it was his wife who jumped behind the wheel first for a quick (as quick a 0.9hp will deliver) 120-mile tour through the countryside of Germany. Poor Karl didn't even know!
  • Nepal had very few roads at the time, but the car company still gifted a shiny new Merc to the king of the country in 1940. It was the first car that had ever been in Nepal!
  • Unlike most cars, Mercedes vehicles are not spray painted. Instead, they are completely submerged in anti-corrosion coating and primer. That means the protective liquid can get into every part of the car.
