About Heater Controlss

A vehicle’s Renault heater controls are situated in the dashboard of a vehicle and can be used to adjust the temperature of the heating inside the vehicle. The heater inside the vehicle uses the heat from the engine, which is converted in to hot air and blown in to the vehicle’s passenger compartment.  When heat is built up in the engine, it is transferred to the coolant, which is passed to the exhaust and radiator to protect the engine from overheating. The heater is attached to the radiator.

When the passenger in the vehicle turns the dials on the Renault heater controls the heat from the heater’s core is transferred to the passenger compartment of the vehicle.

It is important to have the proper mix of coolant and water in the system. Coolant has to be at a set level, so it is important to ensure there are no leaks.

If your vehicle’s heating system is not working properly it is important to get it checked as soon as possible. If the heating system is not working, it is possible that your vehicle’s engine cooling system is also not working. This can be a very serious for the wellbeing of your vehicle’s engine.

Renault trivia

  • Louis Renault was sure that films were going to be big, so he agreed to let the Lumiere brothers use the Renault Type A in one of their first films. Now, Renault cars are seen in hundreds of films and TV shows every year.
  • The French Government still owns a 15% stake in the Renault company!
  • Widely considered the first-ever Grand Prix, the 1906 Le Mans was won by the Renault AK90CV, driven by French driving legend Ferenc Szisz. The race consisted of 12 laps of a daunting 64-mile circuit.
  • The aluminium-bodied Renault Spider was essentially a race car that had been built for the road. Models sold everywhere, but it was only those that were sold in the UK that came with windscreens, which must have meant a lot of bugs in the face for French drivers.
  • The fastest Renault ever made is the 1978 Alpine A443. It raced at Le Mans, and even with a less than intimidating 2.1ltr V6 engine it still managed an incredible 236mph.
