About Heater Direction Control Switchs
A vehicle’s Toyota heater direction control switch is positioned on the heater control panel and situated in the dashboard of a vehicle. Its function is to adjust the direction of the heating in the vehicle.
The heater inside the vehicle uses the heat from the engine, which is converted in to hot air and blown in to the vehicle’s passenger compartment.
When heat is built up in the engine, it’s transferred to the coolant, which is passed to the exhaust and radiator to protect the engine from overheating. The heater is attached to the radiator. When the passenger in the vehicle turns the dials on the controls the heat from the heater’s core is transferred to the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The driver can then use the Toyota heater direction control switch to choose where the heat is distributed in the vehicle.
It is important to make sure your vehicle’s heating system is working correctly, as a damaged heating system could indicate that the vehicle’s engine cooling system is also not working. If you notice the vehicle’s heating system is not working, then it’s important to get it checked as soon as possible to prevent engine damage.
Toyota trivia
- Although Toyota started making its first cars in 1937, these were specifically produced to contribute to Japan's war effort. It wasn't until 1947 that they started producing cars for civilians.
- They might be one of the biggest and well-known brand names in the world, but Toyota is still very much a family business. Every CEO so far has been a descendant of the original founder.
- The founder's son, Kiichiro Toyoda, did a trip around the US to get inspiration for car designs. That's why those early Toyota cars look more than a little bit like Chevrolets and Dodge Power Wagons.
- The Toyota Prius is just the latest example of why Toyota is widely considered the greenest company in the car industry. Consistent efforts at improving sustainability and eco-awareness led to them getting voted the number one Global Green Brand back in 2015.
- As well as their other records, Toyota is known to consistently break sales records as well. It's not just the Corolla either. They have been so successful some years that they outsold Honda and Nissan combined!
