Vauxhall Corsa B (1993 - 2000)

The Corsa was originally known in the UK as the Nova, and was only produced in Spain. The car hit the British market in 1983, released initially as three-door hatchback and two-door saloon models. British Vauxhall workers were unhappy with the fact that the Corsa was only being built in Spain. This changed with the Corsa B in 1993, with production expanding throughout Europe and South America. The Nova name was dropped and the car became known as the Corsa. The Corsa B was released in a number of body types including a three and five-door hatchback, four-door saloon, five-door estate and two-door coupe pick up. Four cylinder power was introduced with these cars with 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6 litre petrol engines, as well as an economical 1.5l turbodiesel alternative.

Vauxhall Corsa C (2000 - 2006)

Now 12'' 3" long and 6'' 3" wide, the Corsa C was first revealed in 1999 and introduced to the European market in 2000. This generation of Corsa includes a three and five-door hatchback, three-door car derived van, two-door pickup and the return of the four-door saloon. It was a huge success in Britain, becoming the most popular supermini and second most popular car overall in 2002, 2003 and 2004. It has remained popular ever since, winning Britain''s best selling supermini in 2005. It was also named the Semperit Irish Car of the Year in Ireland in 2001.
