It's that time of year again - after a few weeks of milder than expected weather, the literal calm before the storm, winter's wrath is once again upon us.

With snow falling across much of Wales and western England last night (January 29th) and cold temperatures affecting much of the UK today, now may be a good time to think about investing in car parts such as winter tyres and snow chains to make sure your vehicle's fully prepared.

Wales has been one of the worst-affected areas, seeing Up to 2in (5cm) fell in parts of south Wales, with similar amounts in parts of Pembrokeshire and Snowdonia.

Motorists travelling in the area and other regions impacted by the cold weather are advised to take extra care and keep an eye on traffic and weather updates.

It follows a recent poll by the AA which found that more than one in three drivers (38 per cent) had done nothing to prepare their vehicles for winter driving.
