The Citroen DS 6WR is set to be unveiled at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show next week.
The DS 6WR is the production version of the 'Wild Rubis' concept car and is what the WR in the name stands for. This vehicle is set to only be available for the Chinese market initially. It is then expected to make a move in other worldwide markets. It will be available in China later this year.
Like other DS vehicles, this has the stylish looking curves making it distinctly a DS vehicle. It was mentioned earlier this week by new PSA Peugeot Citroen CEO Carlos Tavares that the DS range is set to become its own premium stand alone brand. You can rear more about this here.
The dimensions of the vehicle are as follows: 4.55m long, 1.86m wide and 1.61m tall. It will be available with two 1.6L petrol engine variants with either 160 or 200bhp. If it makes it to Europe we would expect a diesel engine to be added to the range.
It will come fitted with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and 'Grip Control' which is part of the front wheel drive system and Citroen reckon this system means there is no need a four wheel drive system.
Lets hope it is not to long before the Citroen DS 6WR makes an appearance on the European market.
The Beijing Motor Show will be running from 21-29th April.
