The new 2014 Citroen DS3 range has received some new updates, to improve the already high quality premium range.

One of the main changes to the new DS3 range is the combination of LED and Xenon headlights. There is also some new Euro 6 compliant engines, Active city brake technology and some new personalisation options.

The new LED and Xenon headlight combination gives the DS3 a wider and more powerful beam which increases visibility and reduces power consumption. There are three LED modules and one Xenon module which increase visibility in both low and high beam positions. The energy saving levels are as much as 35% in low beam and 75% in high beam and the LED bulbs last up to 20 times longer than halogen bulbs. There is also LED daylight running lights fitted to the front air intake and 3D effect LED rear lights. The DS3 is fitted with unique sequential indicators and is a first in the supermini class.

The new Euro 6 standard engines include the BlueHDi 100 and 120 diesel engines. The BlueHDi 100 is the class leader in terms of low CO2 emissions with 79g/km. Some of the new petrol engines are the THP 155 and PureTech e-VTi 82 ETG engines. The DS3 is the first PSA Peugeot Citroen vehicle to feature the new Active city brake technology.
