BMW M3 Coupe Overview

The BMW M3 Coupe is classed as a high performance compact executive car which is produced by the German automobile manufacturing company BMW. The M3 is a high performance version of the BMW 3-series and is available in Coupe, Cabriolet and Saloon variants. The M3 Coupe has been in production since 1985 and the M (Motorsport) Versions of the BMW 3-series have improved handling, better engines, more aerodynamic design amongst other things. This car is great performer, well equipped, well built car which also have great suspension and is very reliable. It has a great interior design with very comfortable and spacious cabin. BMW M3 Coupe History

The first generation (1985-92) of the M3 was released in 1985 and had a 2.3L petrol engine and the later Sports Evolution model had a 2.5L engine. This was the first production 'high performance' version based on the BMW 3-series.

The second generation (1992-99) M3 Coupe had a 3.0L engine and the M3 was only available as a Coupe until 1994 when the other two versions were released.

In 1995 the engine was changed from the 3.0 to the larger 3.2L engine. The third generation (2001-06) was released with the 3.2L engine.

The fourth generation (2007-present) is the current version on the market and has a 4.0L engine. This version had a slight makeover in 2009, more of a refreshment with only minor alterations being made.
