Fiat Doblo Overview

The Fiat Doblo is classed as both a panel van and a leisure activity vehicle, depending on which version. These vehicles are produced by the Italian automobile manufacturers Fiat and were designed as a replacement for the Fiat Fiorino in 2000. The leisure activity version has great sliding doors for easy access to the rear seats and plenty space in the rear. They are quite good to drive but are not as refined and reliable as some competitors which are better value for money. The panel van version won International van of the year in 2006, and is definitely worth considering. Does this sound like your experience of the Fiat Doblo?

Fiat Doblo History

The first generation (2000-09) was available as both a panel van and a leisure activity vehicle. The Doblo is designed on the Fiat Palio platform and had a good range of available engines. There was a makeover version brought out in 2005, which gave the Doblo a new front end and changed the design of the front and rear lights. It was this makeover version which won the International van of the year in 2006.

The second generation (2009 to present ) is the current version in production and is based on a new platform which gives it a different and unusual look. This version is also sold as the Vauxhall Combo in the UK. This version is larger and more efficient than its predecessor.
