Nissan Gloria Overview

The Nissan Gloria is classed as a large luxury car which was produced by the Japanese automobile manufacturing company Nissan. This vehicle was in production from 1971 to 2004 over 9 generations. This vehicle was originally sold as the Prince Gloria until 1971 when Nissan and Prince merged. The Gloria was eventually replaced by the Nissan Fuga. These vehicles were very popular luxury cars in Japan due to their comfortable and spacious interior, and luxurious interior. They were very well equipped cars which handled well and were well built. The handling was good but they never did become very popular outside of Asia. Does this sound anything like your experience of the Gloria?

Nissan Gloria History

The Nissan Gloria has been around since 1971 when Nissan merged with Prince. This vehicle was a replacement for the Prince Gloria and Nissan Cedric, as they were merged to form the Nissan Gloria. The third generation of the Prince Gloria (1967-71) was when the merger happened, and in 1971 it became the Nissan Gloria.

After this there were another 8 generations, listed as follows: second generation (1971-75), third generation (1975-79), fourth generation (1979-83), fifth generation (1983-87), sixth generation (1987-91), seventh generation (1991-95), eighth generation (1995-99) and the ninth generation (1999-2004). This was the last version of the Gloria to be produced and was in production for a total of 46 years. The Nissan Fuga replaced this car.

Fuel Economy

The Nissan Gloria was available in many different engines over its lifetime, including: 2.0, 2.5, 2.6 or 3.0L petrol and 2.0, 2.2, 2.5 or 2.8L diesel engines. The diesel engines were the more economical, offering around 40mpg which is not to great. Which engine did you have and how did it perform in terms of fuel economy.
