We would love to hear about your experience of the Suzuki Ignis. If you have ever owned one of these cars and had to purchase any replacement parts then we want to hear about it. Let us know how the parts performed when fitted by leaving your comments in the comments box at the bottom of the page.

Suzuki Ignis Overview

The Suzuki Ignis is classed as a supermini and was produced by the Japanese automobile manufacturing company Suzuki. This car was in production from 2000-08 and replaced the Suzuki Swift. This car was marketed as the Swift in Japan and the Chevrolet Cruze was based on this car. These cars are surprisingly spacious inside and very practical. They are cheap to buy but are not that good economically or as good to drive as some competitors in this class. They are well built but I think you would find a better supermini for your money. Does this sound like your experience of the Ignis?

Suzuki Ignis History

The Suzuki Ignis was manufactured between 2000 and 2008. It was originally available as a 3 and 5-door hatchback with the new M family engines. These engines were available in 1.3 and 1.5L petrol. You could get this car in front wheel drive or all wheel drive. The Sport version was introduced in 2003 when this vehicle had a slight makeover. Suzuki Europe used the Chevrolet Cruze modifications in 2003 to make the vehicle larger with more interior and boot space. The Japanese version never used these modifications. The Sport version was based on the 1.5L engine. The Sport version ceased production in 2005. The Ignis ceased production in 2008.
