The Italians know how to construct awesome cars with incredible engineering. Alfa Romeo is known for being at the forefront with design and driving experience. The Alfa Romeo MX5 Spider is an example.

Mazda and Fiat are planning to work together with Alfa Romeo to create the next generation car; which will be built in Hiroshima, Japan. The long awaited MX5 Spider will be available to buy within the next few years, possibility 2015 for the sport model. This car is hoped to be world’s bestselling vehicle, ever.

Car manufacturers come together like this to develop uniqueness because, it is financially more rewarding. It’s a joint adventure, so it avoids acquisitions. We will begin to see more of these ventures with manufactures in the next few years. For instance, Toyota and Subaru are also planning to produce a joint unique car.

Alfa Romeo MX5 Spider new design

The first Spider was created in 1966, and appeared in a film with Dustin Holman called The Graduate. Back then, the Alfa Romeo Spider was a big hit, it has since been at forefront of all cars never lacking in style or quality.

The details of the Alfa Romeo MX5 Spider are all speculation at the moment as the companies involved won’t reveal their secret in relation to the design. One thing is for sure when the parts do become available, you can locate them here.

It is known however, it will be constructed with Mazda’s Skyactiv technology, so the MX5 will be incredibly light. This Spider will have light handling, a small centre fitted 4cc turbo engine, and a lithium-battery centred under the bonnet. Both of these fundamentals will give the new Spider great power almost certainly offering 135bhp to 175bhp.

Considering what the new Alfa Romeo has to offer, the price tag will be very reasonable. A starting price of £19,999 with many options will be available to the customer. A soft top and folding top is likely to be on the agenda.
