Kirsten Stagg has been promoted to head of marketing for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. She will take over in this responsibility as of 11 March 2014. She will be responsible for leading all marketing for the company in the UK.
Kirsten first joined The Volkswagen Group in 1998 as one of their graduates. In her time with the company she has progressed through the ranks, in marketing roles for Skoda and Audi. Before her most recent promotion she was the National Communications Manager for Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles.
Kirsten was responsible for heading up the Volkswagen social media strategy and during this time the Volkswagen Facebook page has become the number one automotive facebook page in the UK.
Kirsten said this about her new role: “This is a fantastic opportunity. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has a unique brand image and I’m really looking forward to working with the team and the Van Centre network to drive even greater awareness.”
When Kirsten assumes this role she will be reporting directly to Alex Smith, the director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

We have just celebrated a record year in the UK and consolidated our strong position in the light commercial vehicle market; this is an exciting time to join the brand.”
The Volkswagen Group have still to announce a replacement for Kirsten as the National Communications Manager for Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles.
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles had a great 2013 in terms of vehicle sales. They were up 19.4% on 2012, and this consolidates their position as number two in the light commercial vehicle sector.
