The new SEAT Leon ST 2.0 TDI 184 FR is the top of the range version of the new Leon ST. The ST is the estate version of the hatchback Leon small family car. We have written a full review of the Leon which you can view by clicking here.

The third generation of the Leon was released late in 2012 and this is the first time you have an estate version of the Leon available. The ST estate version allows for more practicality and is around a foot longer than the hatchback version and has a 587 litre boot space with the rear seats up. This is some seriously good storage space.

The 2.0L TDI turbo diesel version of the ST is the top of the ST range and offers 182bhp, giving it excellent performance. In terms of fuel economy the 2.0L diesel engine has official ratings of 65.7mpg and 112g/km CO2 emissions. In real time terms, this means that you will get somewhere in the late fifties if you drive carefully.

The FR is the top trim level available and includes the following features: Sports front seats, dual-zone climate control air conditioning and front and rear parking sensors. The FR trim also comes with 17” alloys as standard.

The only negative thing on this car is the handling and suspension. The suspension is said to be sports suspension but it does not seem to perform this way.

If you are after an estate small family car, there are better options available but this is certainly one worth considering.
