The new Vauxhall Corsa is expected to hit the showrooms next year and is also expected to be officially unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October.

The new Corsa was seen out getting tested for the first time, and is set to be heavily revised compared to the current fourth generation version. You can read our full Corsa review by clicking here.

It will have a new front grille design, larger, more prominent Vauxhall logo and is not as fiercely styled as the current version. There is also a lower air intake and a new headlight design. At the rear, there is a new tail light design and new boot design.

The interior is set for a complete makeover as Vauxhall aim to make it look more premium by using better materials and there will also be better technology available. There will be a larger infotainment system compared with the current one.

The expected engine range will have several petrol engines between 1.0 and 1.4L and there will be a 1.6L diesel option too.

Mark Adams is the design director of the company and this is what he had to say about the new Corsa: "In the UK the Corsa has been consistently first or second on the sales lists, we're confident the new car will take it to the next level."

Vauxhall are also set to launch the new Astra towards the end of 2015 and also a new budget model based on the Chevrolet Spark to compete with the Dacia Sandero.
