Peugeot has manufactured the world's original diesel electric powered hybrid car. Other companies have contrived petrol electrical-hybrid versions but not with a diesel. The Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 4 is a brilliant car and a dazzling invention for those who love to drive diesels.
Of all the electric cars that are on the market so far are respectable, but still seem to lack the ability to travel far before coming to a stop and having to top up again. It is early days, and it’s the beginning of a new manufacturing venture which will eventually have a lime light of its own once they can travel across greater distances.
The Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 4 Features
The Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 4 has plenty of room, enough to consider it a family car. This Peugeot starts at staggering sum of £28,500; this is nearly £5000 more than the standard non-hybrid. This is obviously too high when you can buy the daddies of Hybrids such as the Honda or the Toyota with more appeal.
This Hybrid 4’s engine is a 2L HDI, and the transmission is the standard manual gearbox. This car offers a 200bhp with up to 70mpg combined fuel. Attached to the car engine is an 8Kw hybrid-battery pack that acts like a generator to recharge the car. It's the Bosch electric motor which drives the rear wheels of the car.
The interior consists of a centre console near the dashboard which has fancy letters inscribed such as a 4WD mode; this brings the rear wheels into action making the car a four-wheel drive. Then there is a Sport mode; this gives you sport performance when you’re driving. The mode gives you the highest economy, and the Zen mode means electric driving only. Most people begin driving in Zen and switch over to fuel driving when the electric becomes empty.
