Audi have recently said that they will consider bringing a family car version of the TT onto the market at some point in the future.
Up to this point, the TT has been available in Roadster or Coupe variants, with the latest 2015 version to be available as a Coupe only. The new 2015 TT was officially unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show earlier this month and it is a very stylish looking car as you would come to expect from any TT.
Ulrich Hackenberg is the technical chief at Audi and he reckons Audi could be set to expand their TT range: "We are looking to see if there is more we can do. Could the TT be extended as a family car?" he said recently.
Some of the latest statistics have showed that the sale of small Coupes like the TT have greatly diminished over recent years and we think that this could be a good enough reason why Audi are looking to expand this range. Also the sales of compact premium cars has increased.
Audi would need to lengthen and slightly raise the TT to get the car to family car size. If they go ahead with this idea, we will wait in anticipation for the outcome.
