BMW 320 History

The first generation (1975-83) was introduced in 1975 and BMW wanted to provide a car that would be both economical and classy. Sales of this car would double BMW profits within the first three years of its production. The second generation (1982-91) was almost double the price of the previous version as BMW were focusing more on performance rather than economy.

The third generation (1990-99) had a more modern design than the two previous versions and was to pave the way for the new image of the 3-series and the success of this vehicle. The fourth generation (1998-2006) introduced the new M3 range and also continued in the success of the previous version, being a very popular car worldwide.

The fifth generation (2005-12) had a new design from the previous version and was slightly longer and narrower in size. The sixth generation (2012 - ) is the current version in production and has a lot of the same technology that’s on the 5 and 7-series BMWs.
