Honda Inspire Overview

The Honda Inspire is classed as a luxury sedan which was produced by the Japanese automobile manufacturing company Honda. This vehicle was in production from 1989 to 2012 over 5 different generations. The Inspire is built upon the same chassis as the Honda Accord, and was originally sold as the Accord Inspire. Throughout its lifetime this car is closely affiliated with the Accord. They are very spacious, comfortable and have a really luxurious feel to them. They are well built, great for travelling long distances and handle really well. The styling is good and they are also reliable cars. Does this sound like your experience of the Inspire?

Honda Inspire History

The first generation (1989-95) was introduced in 1989 and shared its platform with the Honda Vigor. The Inspire offered a luxurious car, but cheaper than the top end Honda Legend.

The second generation (1995-98) took a lot of features from the first generation Legend, increasing in size to meet the more luxurious market.

The third generation (1998-2003) was the first ever Honda to be built in the USA and then be exported to Japan. The US version was sold as the Honda Accord.

The fourth generation (2003-07) saw the return to Japan for manufacture, and featured many innovative design features. These features included collision detection and Internet navigation.

The fifth generation (2007-12) is again slightly larger than the previous version, continuing the increase in size for each generation. Production of this vehicle ceased in 2012. This vehicle was never sold in Europe.
