Hyundai Santa Fe Overview

The Hyundai Santa Fe is classed as a mid-sized crossover SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) and is produced by the South Korean automobile manufacturing company Hyundai. This was Hyundai’s first SUV and was named after the American city of Santa Fe, New Mexico. This vehicle was to become very popular, especially in the USA and became the best selling vehicle for Hyundai. This vehicle was first produced in 2000 and is still in production to this day. This vehicle is quite expensive to buy compared with some rivals, but they are well equipped, practical and have strong engines. They are spacious, reliable and have good safety features. Hyundai Santa Fe History

The first generation (2001-06) was a front-wheel drive vehicle with the option of a 4wd version. This vehicle was soon to become extremely popular, far more popular than first imagined. In 2005 this vehicle had a makeover which affected the interior and exterior mainly.

The second generation (2007-12) went for a more contemporary look and improved on some safety features that were lacking in the previous version. In 2010 there was a makeover which mainly affected the grille and lights designs. The 2007-09 models are being recalled to fix a software issue with the front passenger airbags.

The third generation (2013-present) is available in short and long wheelbase form and is the current version on the market.
