Kia Shuma Overview
The Kia Shuma is classed as a small family car and was produced by the South Korean automobile manufacturing company Kia Motors. This vehicle was in production from 1997 to 2003 and is also know as the Kia Sephia, Spectra and Mentor in different markets across the world. These cars have good safety equipment and are rather spacious. They are cheap to buy but this shows in the interior design and the basic looking styling. The gear changing is not that great on the manual version and is not the best to drive. They are practical and the price makes them bearable. Does this sound anything like your experience of the Kia Shuma?
Kia Shuma History
The Kia Shuma (1997-2003) was introduced to the European market in 1997, and was the second generation Kia Sephia. The first generation was not available in Europe. This vehicle had a complete redesign from the previous version and was available in sedan and liftback variations. This vehicle had a makeover in 2001 with mechanical, interior and exterior updates made to the vehicle. The Shuma was discontinued in 2003 and was replaced by the Kia Cerato.
The Kia Shuma was available in 1.5, 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0L petrol engines. The smaller 1.5 and 1.6L engines were the more economical of the available engines, offering up to 35mpg.
