Hyundai i20 Overview

The Hyundai i20 is a supermini car which is produced by the South Korean automobile manufacturing company Hyundai. The i20 has been in production since 2008 and was a replacement for the Hyundai Getz. It is available in 3 or 5-door hatchback versions. The i20 is not on the North American market as they have the Accent hatchback in this class. This car is very well equipped, is a very stylish looking car and is great fun to drive. It has a very reasonable amount of space in the rear for a supermini car and also offers great safety features and good reliability. There is not a great deal wrong with this car apart from it can be quite expensive to buy brand new. Does this sound anything like your experience of this car?

Hyundai i20 History

The Hyundai i20 was released in 2008 and was brought in to replace the Hyundai Getz, but the Getz remained in production until 2011 along side the i20. This car is built on a new platform and was aimed at bringing Hyundai up to date with the current supermini class competitors. Due to this new platform, the i20 offers plenty of passenger space, making it a very good choice in this class. This car received the full 5 stars in the Euro safety ratings and was named as one of the 5 safest cars in 2009. It offers a wide variety of different engines which you can see in our Fuel Economy section below.
