Nissan Pickup Overview

The Nissan Pickup is classed as a mid-sized pickup truck which was produced by the Japanese automobile manufacturing company Nissan. The Pickup name was used for several different markets worldwide, including Europe and Asia. The Pickup is more commonly known as the Navara, and was in production from 1997 to 2004. This is when the Navara name was used instead of Pickup. This vehicle is very competitive in the pickup market with its great handling and spacious cabin. The double cab is particularly spacious and they are very well equipped. The main concern for these vehicles is the issue of reliability. They have great safety features and have great tax benefits. Does this sound like your experience of the Pickup?

Nissan Pickup History

The Nissan Pickup (1997-2004) was introduced as a direct replacement for the now ageing Nissan Hardbody Truck. This vehicle is known under several different names worldwide including: Navara, Frontier and Terrano. The 3.3 V6 engine was introduced into the range in 1999. A crew-cab version was introduced in 2000 and in 2001 there was a major facelift as Nissan aimed at the younger generation with some stylish looks. The Pickup name was used alongside the Navara name, with the Pickup version being seen as the cheaper alternative. In 2004 the pickup name was discontinued and the next version would be known as the Navara in Europe.
