Vauxhall Royale Overview

The Vauxhall Royale is a full size luxury car produced by the British automobile manufacturers Vauxhall Motors. The same vehicle was marketed as the Opel Senator in Europe, as Vauxhall is the UK subsidiary of the German company Opel. This vehicle was in production under this name from 1978 to 1984, when it was changed to the Vauxhall Senator. These cars were very well equipped and stylish for their era. They were very comfortable and spacious, making for a good ride quality and experience. The engines and suspension are good on these vehicles. There are not to many of these cars around these days, and are now considered classic cars. Does this sound anything like your experience of this car?

Vauxhall Royale History

The Vauxhall Royale was introduced in 1978 and was available in saloon, and the fastback coupe was known as the Royale Coupe. The Coupe was the sporty version which was originally only available in 2.8L, but the more powerful 3.0L was introduced later on. The Royale shared its platform with the Opel Rekord, and was basically a lengthened version of this car. These luxury cars were facelifted in 1982, mainly affecting the interior design, engines and some minor exterior changes. In 1984 the Royale name was discontinued and the Vauxhall Senator name was used instead.
