Honda Jazz Overview

The Honda Jazz is classed as a supermini car and is produced by the Japanese car manufacturing company Honda. This is a 5-door hatchback car and is sold as the Honda Fit in America, Japan and China and the Jazz elsewhere. It is built on Hondas small car platform which is shared with many other Honda cars including the City and Airwave. For a small car of this size it is very spacious and has great safety features. The resale values of this car are great, as some versions can be costly and this is not the best handling car around. Does this sound like your Honda Jazz?

Honda Jazz History

The first generation (2001-2007) was designed as a replacement for the Honda Logo. In Europe the only engines available are the 1.2 and 1.4L and this vehicle is very popular in Europe, accounting for almost 30% of Honda sales on this continent. This car receive applauds for its great interior space due to the fuel tank being under the front seats instead of rear, allows the rear seats to fold right down and create great cargo space.

The second generation (2007 to present ) is the current version in production and improved the handling and ride quality with a new chassis design. This new chassis meant the latest version of the Jazz is longer and wider than its predecessor. A 1.3 and 1.5L engine was added to the range and a makeover version was introduced in 2011.
