Mercedes 190 Overview
The Mercedes 190 is classed as a compact executive car and was produced by the German automobile manufacturing company Mercedes-Benz. This vehicle was in production from 1982-93. The 190 was preplaced with the C-Class which is situated between the smaller E-Class and larger S-Class. These are well built cars which are very well refined and spacious inside. Mercedes 190 History
The Mercedes 190 was first produced in 1982 and was Mercedes first ever compact executive car. To begin with this car was only available as a 2.0L petrol engine and in 1994 the 2.0L diesel engine was introduced and the 2.3L petrol the following year in 1985. In 1987 there was a 2.7L petrol engine available and the 190 had a slight makeover in 1988 affecting some interior and exterior parts as well as a new 2.5L engine. In 1993 this vehicle ceased production and was replaced with the Mercedes C-Class range.
The Mercedes 190 had the following engines available: 1.8, 2.0, 2.3, 2.5 and 2.7L petrol and 2.0, 2.2 and 2.5L diesel engines. The most economical of these engines was the 2.0L diesel engine and you should always try to remember and consider the age, fuel type and engine size when considering fuel economy.
