Nissan 100NX Overview

The Nissan 100NX is classed as a sports compact and was produced by the Japanese automobile manufacturing company Nissan Motors from 1991-1996. This car was the European version of the Nissan NX series and was based on the Nissan B13 platform, the same as the Nissan Sunny and Sentra. The 100NX was a reliable car and they are well built. They are not the best sports car to drive and they are not very practical. The glass roof panels can be removed to make it a convertible. There are better sports coupes around but these are worth considering. Does this sound anything like your experience of the 100NX?

Nissan 100NX History

This car was available from 1991-96 and replaced the Nissan Pulsar and Sentra hatchback. The Nissan 100NX was available in 1.6 and 2.0L engines and was a 2-door front wheel drive coupe. The original version was known for heavy fuel consumption which was eventually found to be the carburettor. This was replaced in 1993 with a more fuel efficient carburettor. Most versions of this car were fitted with a removable roof. The 100NX was known for its poor safety, particularly for passengers in the event of a crash. In 1996 this car was discontinued and not replaced in Europe.

Which engine did you have and how did it perform economically? The age, fuel type and engine size will be determining factors when it comes it to fuel economy.
