Nissan Urvan Overview
The Nissan Urvan is classed as either a cargo van or fleet vehicle. This vehicle was produced by the Japanese automobile manufacturing company Nissan, and has been in production since 1973. It is currently in its fifth generation version. Depending on which market this vehicle is in, it is also known as the Nissan Caravan, Homy and King Van. It is available in high roof, passenger carrier and many other variants. It has a decent amount of room for a small vehicle and very comfortable. Nissan Urvan History
The first generation (1973-80) was released in several different seaters including: 3, 5, 7 or 10 seaters. This generation was very popular as ambulances but were known for being difficult to drive.
The second generation (1980-86) had some minor alterations and had a facelift in 1983 with the main changes being the new four square headlights.
The third generation (1986-91) gave this vehicle a much smoother appearance, making it more modern looking.
The fourth generation (2001-12) was pretty similar to the previous version but was known to have some safety concerns.
The fifth generation (2012-present) is the latest version of this vehicle and they are much better in terms of fuel economy than previous versions. This is the current version on the market.
The Nissan Urvan has had several different engines available over its lifetime. These engines are: 1.8, 2.0, 2.4 or 2.5L petrol and 2.0, 2.3, 2.5, 2.7, 3.0 or 3.2L diesel engines.
