Talbot Camper Van Overview

The Talbot Camper Van is classed as a Camper Van and was produced by the British automobile manufacturing company Talbot. The Camper Van is a variant of the Talbot Express, which was the last ever vehicle to be produced under the Talbot badge and was only ever produced for the UK market. In the later years of the Talbot name, it was owned by Peugeot and this vehicle is the UK version of the Peugeot J5. These vehicles are quite good economically for a vehicle of this size but they don’t have very good speed or handling. They are very spacious inside with basic facilities available. Does this sound anything like your experience of the vehicle? Let us know either way.

Talbot Camper Van History

The Talbot Express was first produced in 1984, not long after the Talbot name was no longer to be used on passenger cars. The Camper Van version of the Talbot Express has a higher roof, to make more room and allow for standing room in the rear. As mentioned above, the Camper Van was only for the UK market and the Express is the UK version of the Peugeot J5. This vehicle was designed as a joint venture between PSA Peugeot Citroen and Fiat at the Sevel factory in Italy. The Fiat Ducato and Citroen C25 are the same vehicles marketed under different badges. In 1994 these vehicles were no longer produced as Peugeot discontinued the Talbot name.
