If you have ever owned a TVR Griffith or had to replace any parts then we would love to hear about both experiences. You can write a short review in the comments box at the bottom of the page.

TVR Griffith Overview

The TVR Griffith is a sports car produced by the British car manufacturing company TVR. This car comes into the roadster class and was produced from 1991-2002. These cars hold there second hand re-sale value extremely well and due to the fact that there were not that many built, they command a high price value. These cars are great fun to drive, look really stylish and sporty and are high performance vehicles. They can be expensive to run and maintain but are worth considering if you are after a roadster sports car.

TVR Griffith History

The TVR Griffith of this era, from 1991-2002 is often known as the Griffith 500. There have been two other Griffith versions over the years: The Griffith 200 and 400 series were made in the 60’s, but the latest version was the first true Griffith to use this name.

The Griffith is 2-door, 2-seater V8 roadster, small sports car. Mechanically this car was the same as the TVR Chimaera but had a different body design and was produced in less numbers, making it more of a collector’s item.

TVR stated in 2000 that these cars would cease production, and made a small amount of special edition (SE) versions between 2000 and 2002, and the last version of this car was produced that year. This car was then replaced with the TVR Tuscan 6-speed.

Fuel Economy

As can be seen from the above models, the engines ranged from 4.0 – 5.0 and were only available in petrol engines. They are all very gutsy on fuel, so if you are after a car that is good economically, then you are looking at the wrong vehicle. This type of car is more designed for its performance than for fuel economy.

This car was only ever available in a 5-speed manual gearbox. We have a section of our website dedicated to TVR gearbox parts. We know these parts can be expensive, so have a look to find your Griffith gearbox parts.

We know that Griffith parts can be hard to find, but we have a comprehensive network of UK Breakers who have many different parts available at very reasonable prices. Enter your vehicle details to search through our network of Breakers or visit the Griffith parts page to locate the parts you need.
