Ford Fusion Overview
The Ford Fusion is part of the European Ford collection. It would most likely come under the mini MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) class. It is almost a vertically stretched version of the Fiesta, being a bit higher off the ground and inside the vehicle to suit taller drivers and make it more spacious. It offers a high driving position and is also very reasonable in price. It also offers the good handling off a smaller vehicle.
Ford Fusion History
The Fusion was introduced in 2002 and has estate like qualities as well as MPV qualities, which would put it in the mini MPV class. This vehicle ceases production in 2012 to be replaced with the Ford B-Max.
In 2005 this vehicle received a bit of a makeover which consisted mainly of cosmetic changes to such things as the lights, bumpers, door mirrors etc. Since its release in 2002 there have not really been any major changes to the actual look and performance of the vehicle.
Fusion Style +
This vehicle offers two engine sizes: 1.4L and 1.6L and they come in both petrol and diesel. As this is a mini MPV and is almost like a taller version of the Fiesta, it offers reasonable fuel economy in both the diesel and petrol versions.
This vehicle comes in both a four and five speed manual gearbox, as well as a four speed automatic gearbox. There are many Ford gearboxes available through Breakeryard. Check out our Ford gearbox section today.
