Peugeot 407 Overview

The Peugeot 407 is classed as a large family car which was produced by the French vehicle manufacturing company Peugeot, which is part of the larger PSA Peugeot Citroen Group. This car was in production from 2004 – 2010, when it was replaced with the 508 in 2011. This car was seen as being very stylish at the time of its release; it has some high quality diesel engines and scored very highly in safety tests. The downfalls are its storage space and interior quality, which could have been much better.

Peugeot 407 History

This car was a replacement for the 406 and its design was revolutionary for the time. It was a very distinctive design with its sloped front end and new grille design. When the first car rolled off the production line in 2004, it was the saloon version and a few months later the estate version became available, called the 407 SW. In 2006 the coupe version was released, which gave the range a sportier looking version.

In 2008 there was a makeover to the range which affected the front end design and also made changes to such things as the bumpers. New trim levels became available with greater specifications. The final 407 was produced in 2011 and was then replaced with the Peugeot 508.
