The
ABS Pump Modulator Combined is part of the anti-lock brake system. The Combined Pump and Modulator function just like the separate Pump and Modulators do and is usually found in newer vehicles. The separate ABS system having :- speed sensors, valves, Pump and controller. While the Combined has :- speed sensors, controller, Combined Pump and Modulator (solenoid valves and Pump together). The whole system is managed by the controller which monitors velocity through the speed sensors and adjusts the valves. When fluid is pushed through the valves the hydraulics release pressure. This pressure can only be restored by using the ABS Pump. The Pump works in the opposite way and pumps the fluid back up to increase pressure again. They work in conjunction with each other to maintain the pressure equilibrium of the system and allow the vehicle to accelerate and de-accelerate.
